Malaysia’s transition to the National Sustainability Reporting Framework (NSRF) is accelerating, and preparers now face growing expectations to produce decision-useful sustainability disclosures aligned with IFRS S1 (General Requirements) and IFRS S2 (Climate-related Disclosures)

To help finance and sustainability leaders progress from understanding “what to report” to mastering “how to report effectively,” MIA will be organising the National Sustainability Reporting Framework Symposium on 28 October 2025 at the Connexion Conference & Event Centre @ The Vertical, Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur

Designed as a practical, peer-learning platform, the Symposium will demystify the core requirements of IFRS S1 and S2 and illustrate how they integrate with governance, strategy, risk management, and metrics & targets. Delegates will gain clarity on interpreting the standards, structuring credible disclosures, and building internal capabilities across finance, sustainability, risk, and operations. The agenda will combine expert briefings with interactive panel discussions, enabling participants to benchmark approaches and learn what “good reporting” looks like in a Malaysian context.

Highlights include:

CMDF subsidies are available for staff of PLCs not among the top-100 by market capitalisation and for employees of AOB-registered audit firms with ≤12 partners (limit: three participants per company).
